    Alternatives to Laeger a-arm bushings

Was doing a search for bushings because Laeger wants too much for them & found this older thread on atvriders. Hopefully @Langbolt can chime in with some info: http://www.atvriders.com/vbb/showthr...a-arm-bushings

If you can measure the ID of the A-Arm....and the OD of the crush pins....you can find the size in the Bunting Catalogue......any Bearing supplier can get them and they're very cheap.

Oil impregnated bushings never last from personal experience in the working world a solid bushing with grease fittings last longer.

Does the Pivot Works kit not work? You would need two kits at $79.99 but it has all the seals, bushings and spherical bearings. Laeger's kit is $250.

The pic on the website is a generic image but I took one of a kit we have here in KY with the three pieces I'm referring to.

I can't get the pic of the Pivot Works kit to attach. I'll try later.

The pivot works kit you have posted is for OEM arms. All or at least most all aftermarket a-arm makers use a bushing, bearing or heim system thats different than stock.

I'm almost 100% sure this is what I used when I put new ones in my Laeger a-arms. I know I didn't get them from Laeger so I'm not sure where else I would have gotten them from. Good luck in your search though.

Haven't looked into the bunting bushings yet but did see that our site sponsor JD performance offers the complete bushing kits for $70 or they offer a bearing upgrade kit for $140: http://jdperformance.net/488%20Web%2...ng%20kits.html

Finally got around to measuring my JD arms. There 1.770" wide & have a .820" ID. I was able to get a rough width measurement of the laegers on my wifes R & they look to be pretty much the same. The ID's are most like the same also so the JD bushing kits should fit the laeger arms.
